Host your own event at Taste Community Restaurant!  Private events provide additional work experience for our Culinary Apprentices while also raising funds to support our pay-what-you-can meal services.

Nestled in the Near Southside, Taste Community Restaurant is ideal for rehearsal dinners, nonprofit events, corporate events, and holiday parties.  Our event space accommodates groups of 25-75 people.

Chef’s Table

Enjoy a private dinner for 10 at Taste Community Restaurant. You and your guests will enjoy a multi-course dinner featuring culinary creations from Chef Jeff, Chef Danielle, and our Sous Chef Apprentices.  Every dish tells a story, and each story will take you on a culinary journey!

Enjoy this beautiful space at night while also providing enriching experiences for our Culinary Apprentices.

Twice cooked plantains mashed with chicharron and garlic and filled with chargrilled steak and chimichurri sauce.

Crema de Platano
Creamy Columbian-style plantain soup topped with cilantro.

Ceviche a la Peruana 
Sea bass ceviche marinated in spicy citrus and passion fruit.

Porchetta Puertorro  
Mojo marinated pork with savory pigeon pea rice and pickled root vegetables.

Budin Navideña
Puerto Rican bread pudding with coquito sauce.
