IT’S OFFICIAL: 100,000 MEALS SERVED
We have officially served over 100,000 meals at Taste Community Restaurant! This is an amazing milestone that demonstrates what God can accomplish through Taste Project.
Since God gave me the vision for Taste Project years ago, I continue to be amazed at His faithfulness and provision. And it brings me great joy to see those He chooses to join with us on this journey.
Everyday I have a front row seat to see God work in our community. He works through our guests, our volunteers, and through those who financially support the work we do.
“I love Taste. From a spiritual point of view, something always happens when I come here to make me smile and feel better when I leave then when I came here,” says Tim, one of our 100,000 guests.
“Serving others looks like waiting tables, assembling the drink orders, or even sometimes cleaning the bathrooms,” says Skyler, one of our Taste Bud volunteers. “I like to believe that I do not just serve food, but that I serve the needs of others too. …As a volunteer, one of my main jobs is to make every person within our diverse clientele feel welcome and included.”
“My husband and I really enjoy supporting Taste because we see, in very visible ways, people being helped and being lifted up—if it’s just for a meal,” says Bonnie, one of our Taste Bud supporters.
I have seen God work in and through Tim, Skyler, and Bonnie. But these are just three examples of the work He does every day.
To all of our staff, volunteers, dinners, and donors, thank you for helping us serve 100,000 meals at Taste Community Restaurant. God loves to work though people. Thank you for allowing God to use you to help people in our community ‘taste and see the Lord is good’.
