  • 11:00 AM
  • Taste Community Restaurant (1200 South Main Street; Fort Worth, Texas 76104)
  • Thursday, September 19th (11:00am -2:00pm)

September is National Hunger Action Month and we are partnering with local celebrities and notables to help encourage our community to take action and fight hunger.

Throughout the month of September, Taste Project will host celebrity servers at Taste Community Restaurant to help encourage all Fort Worth residents to come show support for the underlying issue of food insecurity in our community.  September 19th is also North Texas Giving Day; and on September 19th, we are partnering with WFAA’s Daybreak Kara Sewell and several of your favorite Near Southside Nonprofits.  Featured nonprofits include: Amphibian Stage Productions’ Kathleen Culebro, The Art Station’s Peggy Marshall, Fortress Youth Development Center’s Stacy Agee Martin, Project 4031’s Kristina Robertson; and Welman Project’s Taylor Willis and Vanessa Barker.

As the Daybreak morning co-anchor at WFAA, Kara Sewell is known for rising early.  She has a passion for connecting with people and telling great stories.  Kara also enjoys volunteering and is involved in the Junior League, Susan G. Komen and several arts organizations.
This is your chance to eat, serve, and give alongside some of Fort Worth’s notables while also helping to end hunger in our community.  So take action this September and join us, Kara Sewell, and your favorite nonprofits for lunch this North Texas Giving Day!
