Overflowing Good

As we enter this Christmas season, I find myself reflecting on the overflowing good we see each day at Taste Community Restaurants. From Grate-FULL beginnings to the Fruit-FULL change happening in lives across our community, this year has been marked by God’s provision and by your Faith-FULL partnership.

Together, we’ve now served more than 300,000 meals, welcomed thousands of volunteers, and opened our second Taste Community Restaurant in Arlington. Every milestone is a reminder that God is at work in our community, and that He often chooses to work through people like you.

This year, the need has continued to grow. Since COVID, the number of neighbors seeking a healthy meal and a place to belong has tripled. Yet every person who walks through our doors is welcomed with dignity, compassion, and hope. Your generosity — your time, your prayers, your presence, your giving — is part of the Impact-FULL work that allows us to meet each need with grace.

And the stories we’ve witnessed over the years have been truly Hope-FULL: Chad pursuing a new future with a 4.0 GPA… Stacey rebuilding her life and finding stability… Mindy finding healing and baptism… Larry finding strength between chemo treatments… Bill finding friendship and joy in serving… apprentices like Ellie discovering renewed purpose.

Each story is a testament to God’s faithfulness. And to a Faith-FULL community that believes everybody matters and everybody eats.

Today, our community continues to grow, and so does the goodness we see around every table. Your support is woven into every restored life, every warm meal, every moment of connection, and every step toward dignity and belonging.

As you celebrate this Christmas season, please know how grateful we are for you. You help carry God’s goodness forward in ways seen and unseen, and we are honored to serve alongside you.

Thank you for helping His goodness overflow.  Merry Christmas from all of us at Taste Project.

Sincerely,

Jeff Williams is the founder and President of Taste Project. He has always had a passion for cooking, food, and feeding people.  Being half Italian, Jeff’s heritage feeds his passion and discovery in the area of Italian Cuisine.  His vision for Taste Project is different than a growing, profit-generating, Italian restaurant.  His vision is not a homeless shelter or a soup kitchen; but a place where everyday folks eat; and those who could not afford to eat there, could still enjoy a meal in the restaurant. In June 2012, Jeff launched Taste Project and soon will launch the first project, a non-profit restaurant.
