Taste Project, the nonprofit behind Taste Community Restaurants, is welcoming the season with the launch of its brand-new Fall Menu, the addition of brunch service at its Arlington location, and the celebration of a major milestone: 300,000 meals served to the community.
With the arrival of cooler days and the return to school routines, Taste’s new Fall Menu features hearty, seasonal ingredients like apples, pears, sweet potatoes, kale, and warm spices — all crafted into comforting dishes such as Roasted Sweet Potato Bisque, Shrimp and Grits, and German Apple Pancakes. Each dish is chef-prepared and designed to nourish both body and soul.
For the first time, guests in Arlington can now enjoy brunch on weekends, a welcome addition that brings Taste’s signature hospitality and pay-what-you-can model to even more people across Tarrant County.
“This fall marks a significant moment in our mission,” said Jeff Williams, Founder of Taste Project. “Not only are we launching a beautiful new seasonal menu and expanding service in Arlington, but we’re also celebrating the 300,000th meal served at our Taste Community Restaurants. Every one of those meals represents a connection — a moment where someone felt seen, nourished, and part of something bigger.”
At Taste Project, everyone is welcome, and everyone is served, regardless of their ability to pay. The organization’s unique pay-what-you-can model invites those facing food insecurity to enjoy a dignified dining experience, while giving others the opportunity to give back — creating a space where the community truly comes together.
With locations in Fort Worth and now Arlington, Taste Project continues to grow its impact in Tarrant County and beyond.

You can join Taste Project on its journey to provide the next 300,000 meals when you dine, do, and donate…

DINE
Our menu is a mix of healthy and hearty meals to accommodate the foodies in the neighborhood while also remembering this may be the only meal some of our guests eat all day.

DO (VOLUNTEER)
80% of our staff are volunteers. From greeters to line cooks and everyone in between, together, we can meet the needs of our community with love and dignity!

DONATE
We rely on ongoing community support to bridge the funding gap between restaurant donations and restaurant expenses to purchase our food and pay our staff a living wage.
To all of the staff, volunteers, diners, and donors, thank you for helping Taste Project serve 300,000 meals at Taste Community Restaurants. God loves to work though people. Thank you for allowing God to use you to help people in our community ‘taste and see the Lord is good’.

About Taste Project
Taste Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit established to feed, educate, and serve our community so they may “…taste and see the Lord is good.” Psalm 34:8. We believe everyone should have access to healthy nutritious food. Our vision is to see our community become the solution to the challenges our community faces as it relates to hunger. Our first project, Taste Community Restaurant at 1200 South Main Street in Fort Worth, focuses on healthy, quality meals made from fresh ingredients. Our menu has no prices. This is a give-and-take concept. We ask guests to do one of the following: 1) pay what you can afford, 2) pay what you would typically pay, or 3) pay what you would typically pay, plus a little extra. In March 2025, Taste Project opened its second Taste Community Restaurant location at 200 North Cooper Street in Arlington.
